A full 78-card tarot deck created with Araminta K using early Midjourney and an LLM writing AI to generate the accompanying text. Published by Revelore Press in 2022, it was one of the first AI-generated tarot decks to reach print — produced at a time when the tools were raw and the territory was genuinely uncharted.

The concept grew from Araminta’s three years of research into Swedish elven folk traditions, including fieldwork in Sweden. “Älvdans” — elf dance — refers to the low-lying fog believed to mark where the invisible folk danced. We used Midjourney as a scrying medium, treating the neural network as a means of contact with that tradition rather than as an illustration tool.

The deck ships as a full 78-card system with custom tuck box and card back designs, suitable for standard tarot practice or for practitioners working within Scandinavian folk magic traditions.
